Education and Early Influences

Bryan graduated from Manchester College in 1983 with a degree in Political Science. During his time there, one professor had a lasting impact on his perspective.

Dr. Jack Meek helped Bryan understand how political decisions influence many areas of life, including the economy, education, and housing. His father, Don Meek, who served as Bryan’s track coach, also played an important role in shaping his character and leadership.

Community, Leadership, and Resilience

Bryan Richardson was appointed to the Manchester University Alumni Board for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2026. The appointment recognizes his professional accomplishments, community leadership, and commitment to the University's core values of learning, faith, service, integrity, and community. He also supports the Manchester Fund to help expand opportunities for future students.

A former standout athlete, Bryan was inducted into the Manchester College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999 for his achievements in track and field.

Bryan has remained deeply involved in community service throughout his career. He served 23 years on the Board of Light of the World Christian Church and currently serves as Board Member and Strategic Planning Chair for Christel House Indianapolis. His involvement with Christel House began through his friendship with the late Christel DeHaan, whose dedication to education and service continues to inspire his work.

In 2026, Bryan will participate in the 500 Mini Marathon alongside his daughter Bria in their "Daddy and Daughter 2026 Mini Marathon Journey: Celebrating Resilience."
